Residents of Nawalgarh and nearby villages can now get their eyes checked for free on Sunday, June 30, thanks to a health camp organized by the Jhunjhunu Health Department in collaboration with the Drishti Foundation. The eye check-up camp will run from 9 AM to 4 PM at the Nawalgarh Town Hall.
The camp is open to all age groups and includes basic vision tests, cataract evaluations, and free prescription spectacles. Senior ophthalmologists from Jaipur will be volunteering at the event.
Participants are advised to bring their Aadhaar card and any existing medical prescriptions. For those diagnosed with cataract, referrals will be issued for subsidized surgeries at the district hospital in Jhunjhunu.
This initiative will be especially helpful to elderly citizens, labourers, and students who otherwise delay eye care due to cost. Organizers expect around 400–500 attendees and urge people to come early to avoid long queues.
