What if your school scholarship landed in your account just like a FASTag reload? That’s exactly what the Digi‑Vritti pilot program is doing for students in Jhunjhunu. After successful trials in schools like Hameeri Kalan and Bajawa Suron Ka, the program is expanding fast across the district.
The idea is simple: if a student qualifies for a scholarship, they get the amount instantly—digitally and transparently. No middlemen, no waiting months, no lost paperwork. Just ₹3,600 credited to a child’s wallet or account within days.
The project is supported by the Piramal Foundation, using the ONEST and ONDC platforms, and has already created excitement in schools. Vice-Principal Rajkamal Kataria from Bajawa called it “a mini-lottery moment” for deserving students.
For many families in rural Jhunjhunu, even a few thousand rupees make a difference. And when that money arrives fast and clean, it restores faith in government schemes.
By July, the program is expected to reach at least 7 new schools, focusing especially on those with higher SC/ST enrollments. Teachers have been trained to handle the app-based tracking system, and parents are being encouraged to link their bank or wallet accounts.
