The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has announced the completion of the **NH‑11 road upgrade** covering the 49 km stretch between Fatehpur and Jhunjhunu via Mandawa. Work was led by Tomar Construction Co. New Delhi, and the improved highway is now fully operational as of June 2025.
This stretch connects Redundant NH‑11 through key towns such as Mandawa and Rolsabsar, providing smoother travel toward Fatehpur and Rewari. The upgrade includes widened lanes, strengthened road surface, and improved drainage—aimed at reducing accidents and cuts in travel time.
📍 Section: Jhunjhunu–Mandawa–Fatehpur (49 km)
🛣️ Work: Lane widening, resurfacing & drainage
💡 Note: Smoother drive & safer route toward Rewari/Delhi
NHAI officials said the upgrade will support not only commuters but also local industries by improving freight movement. The smoother surface is expected to ease travel for buses, cars, and trucks, especially during monsoon season when road conditions typically worsen.
Why It Matters for Jhunjhunu Residents
A better NH‑11 means quicker transit to Jaipur, Delhi, and nearby trade hubs. It will also benefit local tourism to historic Mandawa. Daily commuters, truckers, and families traveling during festivals will now face fewer delays and a smoother journey.
